Spring has almost sprung, and at nookoo HQ we’ve been scouring suppliers for some fresh new products that will help bring your home right up to speed. Here’s a selection of some of our favourite new items, in easy neutral tones that will slot right in.
This Scandinavian-inspired artwork from Born Lucky nurtures childhood imagination, with gender neutral colours that radiate calm and tranquility. Designed and made in the UK, each piece is carefully printed on chic matte white paper, giving a vibrant finish that’s made to last. From minimalist lettering to striking botanicals, there’s a contemporary print for every little one’s nook - add one magnetic print frame and you’re good to go.
This macrame wall hanging has us dreaming of lazy beach days and sun-kissed afternoons (now we just need the weather to catch up!) Until then we’ll just have to bring the sunshine inside and let this wall hanging take pride of place. Fitting in perfectly in almost any room, try hanging yours above a desk or a chair for an instant cosy feel.
Banish boring storage tubs with this fun woven basket, beautifully adorned with its own tonal woollen pom poms. Great for tidying away toys or hiding (erm, storing) your laundry, it’s handcrafted from sustainable hemp and is a functional nod to this spring’s natural trend.
Bamboo has long been a design favourite, and is given a refined yet fresh appeal with these mirrors from Madam Stoltz. The Danish designer’s latest collection is effortlessly inspired by outdoor living and artisan crafts, with each and every mirror lovingly handmade.

It may be hard to believe, but 2017 is officially in full swing, and with it come a whole new set of interior design trends. We take a look at the colours, themes and fabric that will transform your nook this year.
From Pantone’s zesty Greenery to plush forest hues, green will be everywhere in 2017. Symbolic of new beginnings, revitalising green will give your home an instant update. Keep it fresh by mixing with greys, black and white, or embrace a warm colour palette with rich woods and terracotta. If you’re not quite ready to go all out, a few accent pieces will bring you up to speed.
With both designers and consumers becoming ever more eco-conscious, this will be the year that we reconnect with nature. Think bamboo, rattan and untreated wood for a natural element that’s inherently serene. For textiles, wool and cotton take centre stage - our handwoven pouf by Madam Stolz embodies the trend to a T.
Texture promises to be a big theme this year, with design mostly geared toward softness and comfort. Tactile elements make for an inviting interior, and ever-elegant velvet is top of our list. In deep jewel tones, it adds a little hint of luxury, and is perfect for sinking into at the end of the day.
Versatile and sustainable, cork is making a comeback, from stools to walls and everything in between. This natural material adds warmth to any room, and contrasts well with a whole host of colours. Nod to the trend with a contemporary cork board, or if you’re feeling bold try some statement furniture on for size.
Move over DIY, 2017 sees the return of high level craftsmanship. Lovingly made in small amounts, artisan items add a distinct and personal touch to your nook. Invest in some pieces with a story to tell - we love these Kraal Dome Pendants by Dassie Artisan, a collective of craftsmen built on talent and integrity.
